Hosting

To host the engine there are two main methods

Lichess

To host the engine on Lichess:

1. Download the latest version of the source code from the tags page.
2. Unzip the downloaded file and navigate to the lichess-bot directory.
3. Lastly, follow these steps to get the bot up and running on Lichess.

This hosting method is recommended for those who want to play against other players on Lichess, but you can also create your own hosting server for Lichess. To do so, follow the instructions on the Lichess API documentation here.

Local

You can run the engine locally using the command line interface (CLI) or by using a graphical user interface (GUI) such as Arena or Cutechess. It supports basic UCI commands and can be used with any UCI-compatible GUI.
